Mosler 3175 safe deposit locks have long been associated with guard key problems. The "rapid set" guard levers are the main feature of the lock but they are also its biggest problem. Inevitably the wrong guard key will be inserted or the key may not be fully inserted, bending the guard levers out of their original position causing an unnecessary lockout.
