This pick is made from 0.018 thick government steel and then molded into a purple tinted plastic handle. This is Peterson's second thinnest series of picks. While they're slightly thicker than the 0.015 picks, they come with the "euro" shaft reduction to improve exit into restrictive key paths. They are designed to be useful for locks with tight key paths and offer slightly more strength than the 0.015 picks. Please note that these picks are specially designed to allow you access in the tightest of spaces where standard picks do not fit. This reduction in width is associated with logical costs for stiffness. If you use these picks on wider key paths, you will lose lateral support for your pick, which is provided by a narrow key path.
