Profile

The profile of a lock cylinder determines which blank or key can be inserted into the cylinder. Therefore, the profile is the most important selection criteria.

Profil

The profiles (cut of the stem) are viewed from the head. They correspond to the keyhole of the profile cylinder. For the search it is recommended to especially check the profile and the stem.
Various original heads are being shown with dotted lines.
In the catalogue the drawings are displayed in scale 1:1. When using all other search options this is not possible due to different display resolutions.

Material Remark
Stahl Steel Steel blanks are characterized by a Competitive price and toughness. however, the cut surfaces are often easily rusting. Steel keys are ideal for the production of bump keys.
Messing Brass Brass blanks save the cutter and have a good quality, but they are quite expensive and break faster than a steel blank. Since brass is quite soft, these blanks are ideal for Impressioning.
Neusilber Nickel silver Nickel silver blanks have similar characteristics as brass, but are harder and more durable.
Eisen Iron Iron blanks are usually casted and of lower quality as blanks made from other materials. Iron is usually used at Keys which are thicker and endure more because of the shape.
